As the circle of life goes on, it was nice to come home and see all of the great pictures of family as we spent time together during my Grandmother's funeral. It was such a sad time, but seeing everyone was such a blessing as well - helped us all get through it.

It rained the afternoon of the funeral and the Hunsaker girls had a blast

At one point this summer -actually for most of July, it was super hot. This was in the shade.
Allison commented once that I always take pictures of Jackson when he is supposed to be sleeping because I think it's funny, so here he is actually caught in the act.

And on the new pony his dad got him. Yes, Tony spoils him rotten.
Last weekend, my friend Colbie, her husband Steven and their beautiful little girl Rylee came to see us at the River. I have not seen Colbie in probably ten years and Rylee is a month younger than Jackson. We had a blast. The river was super muddy because of all the rain, but it didn't slow the kids down.

Rylee

Right after this shot, she stuck her entire head under water to try and do a somersault. Colbie was right there to the rescue and I missed the shot as I was too busy panicking, but it was funny

Now, the freaky thing: Steven stepped on something and thought it was a mesquite thorn. When he pulled his foot out of the water, there was a small catfish stuck in it. I have never seen this happen before and felt bad he got hurt on his first trip to the river. I hope he will bring his family back and not hold it against us.

By the way Colbie, sorry I didn't get any pictures of you. Not a one, I will do better next time

Now I leave you with this shot. It kinda says it all: Sittin on the throne, watchin TV
