JACKSON TURNED 3!!!!
On Saturday, we celebrated Jackson's third birthday. We started the evening off at Medieval Times where Jackson was riveted for most of the show. His favorite part was the fighting.
Jimmy and Christine Hoffman along with their two girls,Scott and Sue Studebaker and their little one, Sydney and my friend Colbie and Rylee all joined us for the show.

If you have never been, it is a theme restaurant where you feast on roasted falcon (baked chicken), dragon breath soup (tomato soup), dragon eggs (potato), dragon toes (ribs) and some garlic bread - all without silverware. You sit in a section where you cheer for your own knight - ours was the Yellow and Gold.
Our knight
Yellow Knight
Commentator on a really pretty Draft Horse
The full Court
The King
Rest of the knights
Really cool horses who did all kinds of tricks
And Jackson's favorite - the hand to hand combat
My beautiful friend Colbie
and her precious little girl Rylee
The girls at the show
Jackson and his dad at the show
Sweet Skye - she really liked the show. At one point, a Falcon was brought out and swept through the arena - it was amazing to watch
After the show - we all drove like idiots trying to get back to our house to watch the Cowboy Playoff game. Tony had set the DVR and they were able to catch up to the live show in the first quarter thanks to the commercials.
Halftime was the perfect time to sing Happy Birthday to Sir Jackson

The streamers above Jackson's head are exactly the same length as my belly measured all the way around the day I had him.

And of course, as was the same last year, Jackson's favorite toy was the decoration on his cake.

That is of course, until mom brought out the inflatable swords. In the kids goody bags, I had inflatable swords, tattoos of knights stickers and candy. After everyone left, Mom, Dad & Jackson all battled in a sword fight complete with chasing each other through the house. If Jackson stabbed you and you fell down, he would lean over you and say "I sorry mom - here's your sword". Love my big hearted little boy. So with a sniffle, he is now 3 and still the most precious child I have ever met. And...I promise I was there, but yet again, an entire evening passed and I was behind the camera, never in front, so Mom was not "officially" captured at his birthday party (sigh!).
Shel, it turned out perfect! How much fun! Happy Birthday Jackson, we love you!
