I cannot believe you are 4. As I am typing this, four years ago, you were just brought into this world and were whimpering like a puppy. Your dad and I just sang a rather obnoxious version of Happy Birthday to you which made you grin.
We had your birthday party yesterday complete with a magician and friends from school It was a great party and everyone had a great time. You were more excited about your friends coming over to play than you were about anything.
I hired a magician for your party and he did a really great job. Kept everybody thoroughly entertained and had some really cute assistants.
We sang Happy Birthday and you blew out your candles like a pro!
After we had cake, we opened presents and let me tell, MASS CHAOS! I tried to take pictures, but found myself trapped in a circle of frenzied four year olds, all giggling and laughing and tearing into presents. I had to encourage you to put down the present you just opened so you could open another. You wanted to play with each one right away. And, your exclamations of "OH WOW! LOOK MOM A SUPER HERO!" or whatever the present was, was great.
And last but certainly not least, Todd and Grandma Geela gave you a drum set. It is LOUD! Not exactly sure where we are going to put it, or how often you are going to get to play with it, but Mom is trying not to be that parent that doesn't let you play with your toys because they are nerve-wrackingly LOUD! She needs lots more practice with that!
