FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN!

Wow!  I cannot believe you are already starting Kindergarten.  How quickly the last 5 years have gone and holy cow - how fun has it been!

You did great today - weren't nervous at all, but had your typical level of enthusiasm, which is non-existent to the untrained eye.  Your teacher is Mrs. Walker and seems very nice.  I think you are going to have a great year.  Your only concern this morning was if you were going to get to do "centers" and play on the playground.  I do hope you get to do both.

Now, I have to sit her and wait till 2:00 so I can leave and pick you up by 3:00.  It's another of those days when Mommy feels very lonely and left behind - one of many in my future.

So Big World, today I give you one smart, cute little boy.  I ask that you be kind to him and present him with all kinds of opportunities to grow into a successful man.  I will ensure he recognizes those opportunities and takes advantage of all that he can.  Thank you Big World - he's the only one I have!
