WOW!

I HAVE A 1ST GRADER!

It was just yesterday that I sobbed through the entire first week of Kindergarten and this morning I dropped off a Kindergartener for the last time.  He decided a while back that he prefers to be dropped off at the crossing guard and walk the rest of the way in.

I watched that little independent spirit bound out of the car this morning and dash towards the school for the last day of Kindergarten.  AND I DIDN'T CRY!!!!

All in all, it was a good year. He received the Character Recognition award for Initiative, although I thought he should have gotten one for communication since he talked his way through the entire year.

I love that little man to the moon and back. He makes me laugh every day.
