Here are some very sweet pictures of the little dumpling taking a nap. Notice how quiet and peaceful in deep REM sleep. (YEAH RIGHT!!!!)
He never did go to sleep so we went swimming instead.
Monday of this week, I had to leave for my first overnight business trip. Daddy and Jackson were on their own and they did great, but both were happy to see me when I returned on Wednesday. I left a long list of instructions that included: "if Jackson wakes up in the middle of the night - NO TALKING!! SHH SHH noises only, cover him back up and go back to bed, NOT PLAY TIME". Tony was nervous before I left, but when I called to check up on them, they were doing fine. Hearing and seeing other babies in the airport and at the hotel was no fun for me. I can't believe how much I missed him. At the hotel, there was a kid, maybe 1 or 2 years old, throwing a wall-eyed fit in the restaurant and his poor mother was at her wits end. Head literally on the table. I told her he was still adorable and asked the little guy what the problem was. Of course, perfect stranger talking was more interesting than the fit, so he quieted down for a least a few minutes, until I had to leave for a meeting. Felt sorry for her, but he was a cute kid even when throwing his sippy cup across the room. Hope all is well.
