We have now been through our first trip to Cooks Children Urgent Care. Jackson woke up Saturday running a fever. By 6:00 pm, despite doses of Children's Tylenol, his fever rose to 104.8 After some very MEAN tests, Jackson has a virus he is battling off. They had to draw blood and do a quick catheter to get some urine. Mom and dad had to leave the run for that procedure. We stood in the hall way and mom cried in daddy's shoulder as Jackson screamed. Very hard on us all. Today, Sunday, he is still running fever, but keeping it much more manageable. Apetite is very poor so we tried something new, thus the Green Bean Faces below. He ate some of those.
Unfortunately, Tony's Mom had come into town this weekend to see Jackson. It is very disappointing that she couldn't see the usual jovial, happy baby. Instead, she has seen either a fussy boy or a sleeping boy.
I am tired, up every two hours checking on him. Nap in my future for sure.

Here are some pictures of the river. Worst flood in 20 years. Mandatory evacuations for all of our friends waterfront, even though nobody left. They just had a party. Our house is up on a hill, never in danger.

Sick babies are the worst, hope you are feeling better little man, we love you!!
ReplyDeleteI think I'll be as terrified when Grayson gets his first bad yucky sick! Only one throw-up moment after shots thusfar, and never so high a fever!! Soooo scary!! Wishing you love and health!! Hope all is well! Lv, Tristan!!
