Hello all, I finally just got word that the house Tony and I were married in on the Gulf of Mexico, Galveston Island, is still standing. The front door, that faces away from the beach is gone, but it looks ok. I have been so worried. The houses around it also appear to have withstood much of the storm, so it doesn't look like it hit Jamaica beach that hard. One great big sigh of relief for me and I am sure for the Lamothe's who own the house.

Where you see sand and water, should be a street. The sky-light in the entry hall is still there, but the front door is completely gone. Amazing.

The house we were married in is the one on the left. Behind it is the Gulf of Mexico. All of the debris, sand and water, should be driveway and the street.
