Did he really just say that in public?
Last nite, my delightful child and I were in Home Depot buying seeds for our vegetable garden (more on that later). We were by the tomatoes and as usual Jackson and I were having our own little conversation as I find myself constantly babbling at my child and yet I wonder why he constantly babbles himself (more on that later as well).
Beside us, is an Indian woman also looking at the tomatoes and she chuckles at the conversation Jackson and I are having regarding the fact that he can't hold the plants because he plucks the leaves off. She apologizes for eaves dropping, but thanks me for the laugh. I say no problem and blah, blah, blah, polite small talk etc.
Out of the blue - small voice, "Mommy, she has a boo-boo on her head". OMG!! Nice Indian women sees the look on my face and says, "It's ok, he doesn't know what its for". For all that it is worth, neither do I, but didn't feel it would have been polite to say so.
Needless to say, we politely said goodbye and left the tomato isle. Won't be the last time, my sweet child points out the obvious I am sure.
Tony has again requested more pictures - less yakking, so here's my fam enjoying a Sunday afternoon. All are present, but all you can see of Jackson are his feet (and me, I am once again behind the camera). Daisy blends into the background, but she is there.
That is a story that will be told on Jackson for years. In fact it is one the we (your friends) will be telling others.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I have to tell you - my friend Shelly's son said the funniest thing...
