Summer in Texas

Ok, I am behind in posts, but will try and get caught up. A couple of weeks ago, Tony and I were headed to the river without Jackson, he was being Danafied (spoiled by his aunt). On the drive out, big Texas storm was a brewing. We were on the very front edge as it was blowing us all over the road.
Front edge of storm
I looked out the window to see the clouds above us spinning in a tight neat circle. I told Tony to "Go - just go!!!" (we were approaching a 40mph area that is wise to follow that recommendation)
Before "IT" hit

We drove right past our River house and went to Todd's who has a brick home and his garage is kinda underground. The tornado hit 2 miles from our house. In proper TX style, we sat in the garage, drank beer and watched the storm go by. The wind was screaming and it was raining side ways. All very cool if you like TX weather. Not much damage, but limbs. Our biggest catastrophe...

Now, just some random pics.

Jackson and his class all walking holding hands and looking very cute
My new Stained Glass window my friend Cathy made for me at the River House.
Jackson getting a hand from his dad
Skurfin' like the big kids
Summer time tats (yes, we like temporary tatoos, we think they are funny. We call them stickers)

My kids looking cute as ever with Jackson's new Jeep truck

And my sweet baby faced little boy -
