In Memoriam, Easter, Dogs, Ants, & Texas Stadium
I cannot start this post without saying how much this world will miss Bertie Hagedorn. She and her husband "Hagi" are long time friends of our family and Bertie was called home late last week. She and Hagi were married for 69 years. She was always so thoughtful and kind, with always a smile. I remember at a wedding shower, she bestowed upon me the advice for a long, happy, marriage - "Never go to bed angry". We have all heard it, and yet, it's not an easy thing to do. Sometimes, I want to huff in my madness - not saying it's the right thing to do, but it is what it is. With those two, however, I sincerely believe, they lived by that rule of thumb. Hagi's world is certainly not the same and I hope he finds peace and joy on this earth until he too is called Home. Whisper a prayer for him - it's sure to be a lonely next few months.
And now, on to Easter...
And some fascinating ants and contemplative men...
And can't have a post without cute dog shots.
And of course, cute Kid shots
And finally, what's left of Texas Stadium. I work right by here and this morning, it was truly weird.
