The life of the young!

Jackson is doing well in Kindergarten - well sort of.  There has been some adjustments and the whole no-talking, no wiggling, no touching everyone else - that's been a challenge.  Not to mention, it is evidently frowned upon to sit on another student on the playground and pinch them.  That will land you in In School Suspension for a day.  (And No, Jackson, even though I wrote that with some humor, your Mom did not find that funny in the least).  But otherwise he is doing well.  Reading and learning alot.  It's fun for him to come home and tell me all that he has learned that day.

He has made some new friends and it has been fun watching these friendships grow.  The laughter from the backyard is music to my years.

The Boys

On Saturday, Oct 27, Tony and I went to the Annual Halloween on the Brazos party.  I laughed for two days afterward.  By far my favorite event of the year.  The costumes were hysterical and the band was awesome.  If you ever have a chance to see Brad Thompson and the Undulating Band, GO - they put on the best show playing everything from Neil Diamond sing-alongs to the Violent Femmes.

Tony and I were hippies that were joined by the cast from Gilligan's Island (rest of the Hood rats - that's what anyone who lives in the River hood is called).  Unfortunately, I was too busy dancing and laughing to take too many pictures.  We stayed out till 2:30 in the morning and laughed until my face hurt.

Taylor kept Jackson for us while we partied all night long and below is what I found when we got home.

And this is a random picture of Tony and Jackson reading a book.  Not exactly sure why they chose the Kitchen floor, but thought it was a cute bonding moment.
