FIRST GRADE

I started today, giving the world my only 1st grader.  Not a tear was shed by me or Jackson, all around a good day.

He did not even want me to walk him to his classroom (thank goodness, the line to get in the building was ridiculous thanks to the new security rules - which I am thankful for).

He did want me to drive him all the way up (involves the crazy car pool lane, which I hate).  But tomorrow, Jackson wants to be dropped off at the crosswalk and walk the rest of the way in (saves mommy 15-20 minutes each morning - WIN WIN!)

His teacher is Mrs. Statz and seems to be super nice.  I am confident this is going to be a good year (even if Jackson talks his way through the whole thing again)!
