PARKS PALOOZA 2013

End of July came fast and furious for Parks Palooza this year.  Every body was exceptionally busy, but we still managed to pull it together.  Grandma and Grandpa have to be beaming.  Maybe that's where this Texas heat is coming from.  Yall can dial it down a notch if it is you Grandma and Grandpa.

Anyway, we decided on spending the day at a water park on Lake Travis instead of the boats.  Weather was actually perfect that day, a bit cloudy, but that kept the heat down.  Afterwards, we went to Holly's for dinner and more laughter.

Yes, we laughed...ALOT!  I am still amazed how different we each are and yet still a simpatico group.

Here's the low down:
My Grandpa (Arnom Benjamin Parks) and Grandma (Mary Cue Agnew) Parks had 3 sons, Clayton, Don and Rex. Clayton has 2 daughters, Dana and Shelly. Don has 3 children, Danny, Holly, and Michael. Rex has 2 daughters, Mendy and Stacy. Thus, there are 7 Parks cousins. Now we add Great Grandchildren: Dana has 2 children, Taylor and Austin. Shelly has 1 child, Jackson. Mendy has 2 children, Mackenzie and Jax. Stacy has 2 children, Cade and Caelin. So, there are 7 original Parks cousins and now there are 7 second cousins! Talk about a legacy. When Grandpa and Grandma Parks got married 73 years ago, I bet they never imagined creating a family with 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren! 

Two incidents worth mentioning.

1.  We dared Charles to leap off the swing into the EPIC $25 inflatable pool.  Video attached (having problems... check back)

2.  The full monty shot received by Holly from a rather exuberant massage therapist.  That's all I can say on that topic, but I have never laughed so hard in my life.  Lesson to kids:  No nudie shots on the phones kids.
